Terms & Conditions of Services
The Classic Pet Concierge, will be known henceforth as, TCPC Pet Services.
The Customer/Legal guardian of the Pet(s), will be known henceforth as, The Owner.
1. An in-home consultation, also known as a “Meet & Greet”, is required, prior to reservations, for;
a. All new clients
b. Additional required services
c. Change of services
2. TCPC Pet Services will agree a time with The Owner for when the service(s) will occur or begin. If an unforeseen situation arises, the time interval may be adjusted.
1. Dog Walking, Adventure Walks, Private Hire Fields, Home Visits (for dogs), and Small Pet Home Visits (such as Cats, Guinea Pigs, etc);
a. Walking dogs off lead; TCPC Pet Services agrees to only walk the dog(s) on lead at safe and appropriate times and places, unless express prior written consent from the attached separate agreement.
i. If agreed to by The Owner, TCPC Pet Services has permission via the Off-Lead Consent Form to walk the dog(s) off lead. By doing so, TCPC Pet Services agrees to only walk the dog(s) off lead at safe and appropriate times and places.
b. Timings
i. Time slots given for the services outlined in Section 2.1 are an approximation.
ii. Dog walking slots are provided in 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 1-hour increments.
iii. Home Visits (for dogs) slots are provided in 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 1-hour increments.
iv. Small Pet Home Visits slots are provided in 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 1-hour increments.
c. Cancellation or Early Termination
i. Either party may terminate this Contract for the services outlined in Section 2.1, a minimum of 7 (seven) calendar days prior to the scheduled visit for all services requested, without incurring penalties or damages.
ii. Cancellation by The Owner for the services outlined in Section 2.1 requested with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full rate or rescheduled at the discretion of TCPC Pet Services.
2. Overnight and Day Stays;
a. No person(s) or pet(s) other than specifically included for in this Contract are permitted to live at the premises during the term of this Contract.
b. This Contract does not constitute a lease. The parties agree that TCPC Pet Services only has a license to occupy the premises under the same Terms and Conditions of this Contract and has no legal interests in the premises.
c. TCPC Pet Services must vacate the premises at the end of the term of this Contract.
d. TCPC Pet Services will;
i. Give every reasonable effort to ensure the good health, cleanliness, comfort, safety, and happiness of the animals covered by this Contract.
ii. Be responsible for any act by any person invited on to the premises.
iii. Notify The Owner as soon as possible of any damage to the premises.
iv. Ensure that reasonable security measures are used in safeguarding the property and its contents, as instructed by The Owner.
e. TCPC Pet Services will not;
i. Use or allow the premises to be used, for any illegal purpose.
ii. Cause a nuisance or allow a nuisance to be caused on the premises.
iii. Interfere, or allow others to interfere with the reasonable peace, comfort, or privacy of any neighbours.
iv. Keep any animal on the premises other than those listed in this agreement without the permission of The Owner.
v. Cause or allow any damage to be caused on the premises.
f. Timings
i. Time slots given for the services outlined in Section 2.2 are an approximation.
1. Overnight Stays are provided between the hours of 16:00(pm) and 09:00(am).
2. Day Stays are provided between the hours of 10:00(am) and 15:00(pm).
ii. Pet(s) must be able to be left for up to 4 hours at any given time unless prior arrangements are made with TCPC Pet Services.
g. Purchases
i. In the event that additional items need to be purchased in the absence of The Owner, for example; pet food, cat litter, cleaning supplies or other items that contribute to the health and wellbeing of the pet(s), TCPC Pet Services will purchase these, retain a receipt, and The Owner is responsible for reimbursement of these items on their return.
h. Household Emergencies
i. Details of shut off points for services into the property are to be provided.
ii. In the event of an emergency either The Owner or the emergency contact will be contacted.
i. Cancellation or Early Termination
i. Either party may terminate this Contract for the services outlined in Section 2.2 a minimum of 7 (seven) calendar days prior to the scheduled visit for all services requested, without incurring penalties or damages.
ii. Cancellation by The Owner for the services outlined in Section 2.2 requested with less than 7 (seven) calendar days’ notice may be charged at the full rate or rescheduled at the discretion of TCPC Pet Services.
3. Grooming
a. Health, Medical Conditions and Behaviour
i. Pet(s) must be in good general health and free from contagious conditions such as fleas, ticks, or infectious skin issues.
1. In the event that the pet(s) are found to have any parasites such as fleas and ticks, TCPC Pet Services will;
a. Use an anti-flea shampoo and/or anti-tick shampoo and removal.
b. Charge The Owner an additional disinfection fee.
ii. The Owner must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, or behavioural concerns prior to the appointment.
iii. If any signs of illness, injury, or parasites are discovered during the session, the service may be paused or refused at TCPC Pet Services discretion, and The Owner will be notified immediately.
iv. Should the pet(s) become aggressive, dangerous, stressed or distressed, the service may be paused or refused at TCPC Pet Services discretion, and The Owner will be notified immediately.
v. If the service is paused or refused due to any concerns outlined in Section 2.3, The Owner may be charged at the full rate or partial rate at the discretion of TCPC Pet Services.
vi. TCPC Pet Services are not liable for pre-existing health conditions that may be aggravated during grooming, with the notes of;
1. After grooming, slight redness or temporary irritation may occur, particularly after de-matting or sensitive skin treatment.
2. The Owner is obligated to monitor their pet post-appointment and contact TCPC Pet Services with any concerns.
b. Coat Condition and Matted Coats
i. In accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006, it is an offence to cause unnecessary suffering to an animal; this includes prolonged ‘de-matting’ which is painful and detrimental to the welfare of the dog. If The Owner presents the pet(s) with more than 15 minutes of de-matting work, TCPC Pet Services are required by the Act to clip the pet(s) short humanely or refer/signpost to the registered vet of the pet(s).
1. In the event that the pet(s) are found to have any matting, TCPC Pet Services will;
a. Provide a sincere effort to preserve coat length and comfort.
i. However, TCPC Pet Services are not responsible for irritation or cuts and grazing, resulting from performing clipping of a matted coat.
b. Charge The Owner an additional fee.
c. Cancellation or Early Termination
i. Either party may terminate this Contract for the services outlined in Section 2.3, a minimum of 7 (seven) calendar days prior to the scheduled visit for all services requested, without incurring penalties or damages.
ii. Cancellation by The Owner for the services outlined in Section 2.3 requested with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full rate or rescheduled at the discretion of TCPC Pet Services.
4. Training
a. TCPC Pet Services will make every reasonable effort to help attain The Owner’s goals but makes no guarantees of performance on the part of The Owner or pet(s) as a result of providing professional training.
b. TCPC Pet Services must be made fully aware of any characteristics of The Owner’s pet(s) which need to be known for handling and care of the pets(s) and safety of the trainer and assistants.
c. Banned Dog Breeds
i. Under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, should a dog be recognised as a banned breed including Pitbull types, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino or Fila Braziliero, The Owner must abide by the legal requirements which are that the dog(s) are neutered, microchipped, kept on lead and muzzle, third party insurance and provide copy of Certificate of Exemption.
d. Participant Conduct and Pet(s) Welfare
i. The Owner and participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner at all times during courses, workshops, and events.
ii. The Owner is responsible for the behaviour and welfare of your pet(s) while attending any sessions.
iii. Pet(s) must be kept on a lead at all times unless otherwise instructed by the trainer.
iv. TCPC Pet Services reserves the right to ask The Owner or any participant to remove their pet(s) from a session if the pet(s) are displaying aggressive, disruptive, or overly stressed behaviour.
v. TCPC Pet Services does not tolerate mishandling, physical or verbal abuse towards pets or humans, and all services will be halted.
e. Liability
i. While TCPC Pet Services take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of participants and their pet(s), participation in the courses, workshops, and events is at The Owner’s risk.
ii. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TCPC Pet Services, its instructors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or financial loss, suffered by participants or their pet(s) arising from or in connection with their attendance at the courses, workshops, or events, except in the case of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
iii. The Owner is responsible for ensuring that The Owner and their pet(s) are adequately insured for any potential risks associated with attending the courses, workshops, and events.
iv. Children under the age of 16 are to be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times when attending the courses, workshops, and events.
f. Cancellation or Early Termination
i. Either party may terminate this Contract for the services outlined in Section 2.4, a minimum of 7 (seven) calendar days prior to the scheduled visit for all services requested, without incurring penalties or damages.
ii. Cancellation by The Owner for the services outlined in Section 2.4 requested with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full rate or rescheduled at the discretion of TCPC Pet Services.
1. TCPC Pet Services have full comprehensive insurance cover for all services provided, including Professional Indemnity cover, Public Liability cover, and Care, Custody, and Control.
2. TCPC Pet Services accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss of or damage to The Owner’s property if any other person has access to the property during the term of this agreement.
3. The Owner will not blame and will payback TCPC Pet Services against any and all costs, expenses, losses, liabilities, and claims arising from said pet(s) behaviour unless TCPC Pet Services is wilful or negligent.
4. TCPC Pet Services shall not be liable for any mishap of whatsoever nature which include, but not limited to, unless TCPC Pet Services is wilful or negligent;
a. Any pet(s)’s refusal to take medication.
b. Any pet(s) escaping, biting, eating, or destroying household items or damage to inside or outside of the home.
c. Anything that may befall a pet(s) or caused by a pet(s) who has unsupervised access to the outdoors.
5. The Owner shall be liable for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to TCPC Pet Services caused by the pet(s) as well as damage to The Owner’s property.
6. TCPC Pet Services is released from all liability related to transporting pet(s) to and from any veterinary clinic or kennel, the medical treatment of the pet(s) and the expense thereof.
7. Should the pet(s) become aggressive or dangerous, TCPC Pet Services can terminate this contract with immediate effect.
8. Any wrongful or misleading information in The Owner & Pet Registration Form may constitute a breach of terms of this Contract and can terminate this contract with immediate effect.
1. Adverse Weather;
a. In the event of temperatures exceeding 22 Celsius (71 Fahrenheit), or TCPC Pet Services deem the pavements and general weather to be dangerous, Dog Walking appointments will become Home Visits.
2. Emergencies;
a. In the event of an emergency, TCPC Pet Services shall contact The Owner at the contact numbers provided to confirm The Owner’s choice of action. If The Owner cannot be reached timeously, TCPC Pet Services is authorised to:
i. Transport the pet(s) to the listed veterinarian.
ii. Request on-site treatment from a veterinarian
iii. Transport the pet(s) to an emergency clinic if the previous two options are not feasible.
1. TCPC Pet Services warrants to keep safe and confidential all keys, remote control entry devices, access codes and personal information of The Owner and to return same to The Owner at the end of the contract period.
2. Key(s) belonging to The Owner that are in the care of TCPC Pet Services, are kept in a safety deposit box, in a hidden location, are non-identity-coded, and are never address-labelled.
1. This Contract, and Pet and Owner's Registration and Information sheet(s), Medication Form (if applicable), Off-Lead Consent Form (if applicable), and Veterinary Release Form attached constitute the sole and entire agreement between the parties with regard to the subject matter hereof and the parties waive the right to rely on any alleged expressed or implied provision not contained therein. Any alteration to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.
2. No party may assign any of its rights or delegate or assign any of its obligations in terms of this Contract without the prior written consent of the other party, except where otherwise stated.
1. All information in relation to The Owner is kept private, in a 20-character passcode, with 2-Factor-Authentifcation folder, which is kept private and confidential.
2. No information in relation to The Owner is passed onto third parties, unless;
a. It is required by law, regulation, or a court order.
b. It is necessary to share information with a trusted service provider directly involved in the care of your pet such as a veterinary practice, or emergency service and only with The Owner’s consent or in the pet(s)’ best interests.
3. TCPC Pet Services has permission for the pet(s) name and photograph to be used on Social Media, TCPC Pet Services website, and any promotional materials.
a. TCPC Pet Services will not share locations, timings, or identifiable information used in such postings.
4. The Owner’s details will be kept in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 and will only be used to contact The Owner in relation to their account.
1. All course materials, handouts, presentations, and other intellectual property provided by TCPC Pet Services are protected by copyright and are for the sole use of the registered participant. They may not be copied, shared, or distributed without the prior written consent of TCPC Pet Services.
1. TCPC Pet Services accepts Cash and Bank Transfers.
a. Cash should be left with the amount payable in a sealable envelope with the invoice number and transaction reference provided on the invoice. Confirmation of receipt is within 3 working days of collection.
2. For all services, payments are expected upon receipt of invoice.
